| I've replaced the old chat applet with a new one. The ChatSpace applet has been a pain in the ass lately. It's not showing the room list among some other things. The new applet seems to be more stable. I apologize for any inconvenience this situation has caused.
A lot of you may have realized that a lot of the music videos on 90's Cafe are not playing. MTV Music has been removing the embed codes on a lot of their music videos. I recently e-mailed them about this and they haven't replied yet. It's pissing me off incredibly, to say the very least. If MTV Music keeps this up then I'm afraid 90's Cafe will have to downsize in regards to music videos. I had hoped that things would improve instead of getting worse. But that's clearly not the case. It's becoming more evident than ever that MTV will never go back to the way it used to be in the 90's. The place is a lost cause. Completely. I sincerely apologize to everyone for this turn of events. I encourage you to write to MTV Music and complain about it. Not only have they removed embed codes from videos without publicly giving a reason why, but they never reply to my e-mails. Oh well, that's typical corporate abuse for you. We need a fucking revolution in this country. Big time. *Takes a deep breath* Anyways, yeah. I'm also hiring volunteer staff for 90's Cafe, so if you're interested please contact us. I'll keep you guys updated on the music video situation. I'm going to be beyond pissed if we have to downsize the amount of music videos we have on the site. Take care everyone. | This year really did fly by, and a hell of a lot was accomplished. Just wanted to quickly thank everyone who frequently visits the site. I hope it has brought you all some much-needed comfort and added a little familiarity to your lives. I know it has with me.
There's still much more to come regarding website growth. I'm expecting 90's Cafe to increase in popularity as the months progress. We'll use a lot of the revenue generated by the site to help revive the 90's. We have a lot of background ideas we're working on to achieve this. The 90's will always be alive and kicking here at 90's Cafe - forever. Thanks again for a great first year everyone. Have an awesome Thanksgiving and take care. | I've decided to make the 100 music videos we currently have on 90's Cafe static. Meaning we will never be replacing any of the videos with different ones. I believe we have a classic mix of 90's music here. The perfect 90's mix in my opinion. I see no reason to change any of it.
I've went through every single music video on 90's Cafe and have found that 14 of them currently do not play. I've started to keep records of the videos that don't play so we can easily stay up to date on their availability. I'm sure MTV Music is currently working out all the kinks on their site, hence the reason for all the disabled videos. I'm certain that everything will stabilize soon. Until then we'll just have to hang tight and wait for the disabled videos to return. Much more to come. Take care. | The 40 new music videos I mentioned earlier have now been added to the site. This makes for a grand total of 100 90's music videos on 90's Cafe!
In addition to the new videos, I've made all the video pages easier to navigate by adding a "go back" button to each video page. This way you can simply click this button to go back to the previous video library page you were on. I've also added Amazon MP3 buttons below every single music video. If you come across a song you really like and want to quickly buy the MP3, just click on the Amazon MP3 button below the music video. You will be directly taken to the MP3 purchasing page for that particular song. The logo has been redesigned yet again. This is officially the finalized version. I hope you all like it. | I have loads of changes to report to you guys. First and foremost is the fact that I recently bought hosting for the site. That's right. No more downtimes and faster loading speeds! I've also added the third video page. We now have 20 brand new music videos for you guys to watch (and 40 more to be added very soon)!
I have decided to hit the century mark with 90's Cafe and stop at 100 music videos. There's a possibility that even more videos will be added in the future, but as for now the goal is 100. As I'm sure you all have also noticed, I've designed a new logo as well. This is by far our best logo yet, and it just may be our finalized one. We also have both a new chat AND a new forum! I switched that shitty flash chat back to IRC and decided to use Proboards (a much more customizable choice) for the new forum. I have replaced the Oregon Trail (Thule Trail) game with a "YouTube video of the month" section. There will be a new YouTube video added every month so be sure to check back regularly. For those of you who will miss the Oregon Trail (Thule Trail) game, you can still play it anytime day or night by clicking here. I'd like to thank Thule Road Trip one more time for making such a kickass remake of Oregon Trail. The 90's Cafe merchandise is still in the works. I decided to chuck the coffee mug idea. Zazzle charges $17 a mug and there's no way in hell I'd make anybody pay that much for a damn coffee mug. So I'm now leaning more towards designing a mini poster and T-shirt. I'd appreciate any ideas if you guys have any. Feel free to contact me. The 40 new music videos could possibly be added as early as this week depending on how things go. I'll keep you guys updated on the progress. Other than the new music videos and store merchandise, the site is pretty much complete. More updates to come. | I've just replaced the videos that weren't playing with videos that do play. The videos that didn't play will be added to the third video page in the near future (when they are playing again).
I hope you guys enjoy the new videos. Not much other news to report other than the fact that I designed a new PayPal donate button. Still in the process of designing the new coffee mug.
