| Ah, the 90's. My absolute favorite decade. Those years were matchless. From the television, to the movies, to the music, to the friends, to the general aura of those 10 beautiful years. To me it was the definition of perfection. I was born in 1986, so my key adolescent years (ages 4-14) were spent growing up in the 90's. I remember being able to feel it in the air, the vibe that the 90's gave off. Even while I was living those years I knew they would be the best years of my life, and they were. It seems as though everything has gone straight to hell since the millennium hit. Reality T.V. and bubblegum-pop music infest the media airwaves like a bad case of herpes. Where's the music on MTV? All I see is reality trash. Where are all the good T.V. shows on MTV? Where's my Sifl And Olly? Or my Beavis And Butt-head? Or my MTV After Hours? Who are these "Jonas Brothers"? Why is VH1 heading down the same reality path of destruction? Notice how they don't use their old tagline "Music First" anymore? Because the music isn't first anymore! It's taken a back seat. In the driver's seat we have shit like "Brett Michaels: Rock Of Love". Just what the hell is going on here? Am I missing something? Somebody pinch me, slap me, something! *SLAPS SELF* Sorry, had to get that off my chest. But yes, that is one of the millions of reasons we decided to create this site. To give 90's kids around the world a place to come to and reflect upon the better life. A place where they can turn off everything that's currently wrong with the world as we know it today, and remember the good times we all once knew. This site is solely for 90's lovers. If you're somebody on here looking to stir-up shit and piss everyone off, this is not the site for you. Slither back under the rock you came out from under because your kind won't be tolerated here. On that note, enjoy the site guys. It was made for you so we can all keep the spirit of the 90's alive together. A special thanks to MTV Music, Amazon, Google, YouTube, Wikipedia, XRM Radio, LightIRC.com, Game Code City, Trivia Hero, Zazzle, Proboards.com, A-Free-Guestbook, Template-Help, Email Me Form, and Extreme-Hosting. This site would not have been possible without them. Notice: If you happen to run across a video that doesn't play, please contact us and let us know. Thanks. Name: Aaron Ryan Location: Ireland. Age: 21 Time: 7:29AM Date: April 29 Year: 2009 What do you miss most about the 90's? Everything I guess. The music from 1991 going straight up to 2004 was ideal for me. I also liked a lot of the movies too. In the 90's, there were a lot more things and activities to do. Also had good weather. Yeah, I miss all of that. Windows 95 and Windows 98, were you familiar with those computers in the 90's? Yes, I was. My first computer was a 95. I pretty much loved it when it first came out. What I find back in the 90's, something so small eg: Windows 95 and 98 could facinate a lot of people. It's like the little we had, the happy we were. Compared to today, there are Windows Vista, Windows 7 BETA and previously, Windows XP. People in the 00's are capable of being greedy. Thinking if they get Windows Vista, they'll want to transfer straight over to Windows 7 straight away when Windows 95 came out, a lot of people were still using 95 up to the year 1999. Can you remember the summer of 1998? I sure can. I remember June '98, I was out in a local amusement (theme) park 7 miles from me. Again, it's pretty much the same as I said in the computer paragraph just above. There were a good selection of rides out there and everyone was happy with them. Right now, people are wanting more and more and more. Summer of '98 had quite a good few summer hits in the charts. The weather was superb. Laying on the beach, sunglasses on and watching life pass you by. What a dream! If you were to time travel back to the 90's, what would your reason be for? That's a hard question but yet good. If I could, I would more than likely tell the people in the past about these future events. Tell them how terrorising it is today. I'd educate them on not voting for things that people did back then to make things people call "better" when infact, it became worse. I'd go back for the atmosphere also. The atmosphere in the 90's were outstanding. There were less violence going on in the world. Before the tragedy of 9/11, before any type of violent nature took place. Tell us about 90's television, Aaron. What did you think of that? 90's television, don't get me started! I loved it! I remember I'd get up in the mornings for school at 7:45AM and I'd have to be in school for 9AM. I used to watch a channel called "TCC" aka The Children's Channel. Information about the channel and shows here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Children's_Channel The current shows I watched were; Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario Bros. 3, Daria, Doug, Hey Arnold, Beavis & Butthead, Johnny Bravo, Cow & Chicken, The Wonder Years, Dawson's Creek, Arthur, Pac-Man, Super Mario World, Magic Roundabout, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and many more! Anything else to say before you go? Fuckin' A. |
